quotes Thanks man. The retail on it is in the $270-290 range, so about $1.40/km lol The XTR cassette I picked up to replace it had 300km on it when I got it according to the original owner. It's still going strong without so much as a hiccup, and presently has nearly 500km on it, making it $0.35/km and dropping just for my period of ownership.

quotes As of today, I haven't heard anything from the manufacturer at all, and the retailer told me that it's a wear and tear item that wont be covered by their warranty. I don't disagree that a cassette is an item that wears down eventually, but not in 200km. I replaced it with an XTR M-960, and I'm very happy with it even after having put almost as many km on this replacement. And I agree, requiring 5 cassettes a year doesn't seem like a very cost-effective part, even if you get the same deal that I did originally.

quotes Looks like the remote lock out cable was cut. Is that true?

Read your messages and you won't have any problems. These pedals were up for sale for son long that I decided to take them apart to rebuild and that same night I see your message and I told you what was going on.

I TOLD YOU THEY WERE TAKEN APART

the bent to shit were extra one I threw in the box I thought you would appreciate it. I assumed because you buy pedals that need a rebuild kit and a rebuild kit. It's called putting 2 and 2 together

I assumed the rebuild was for the pedals that needed it. You should have specified that you needed the old bearings etc.. As I told you they were taken apart. Again I apologize for assuming.

I knew you were taking the rebuild kit. I wouldn't have sent the parts just like that to someone who would have wanted the pedal as is.. Sorry I didn't make myself clear at the time of sale. when you sent me the message I had them in pieces to rebuild them so you wanted the rebuild kit so I just sent you everything. I thought it would even be better since I spent some time degreasing everything

I told you this on april 5th:

Took them apart to clean them and rebuild but I was thinking of installing new springs and wings so I can sell them for much more but.. no time

You are right I didn't specify that I threw out the bad parts, I assumed you wouldn't need them. Are you upset you didn't get the old bearings?

I believe I had told you that they were taken apart before sending them to you. The reason is that I was going to rebuild them to sell them.

Yeah I threw them out they were finished also the bolt used on he spindle is a single use bolt. Once it's taken off it loses it's hold.. Unless you put red loctite or something...

Thanks Evan. I'm trying to get my little girl into riding so it won't be MY hobby anymore, but a family activity... Smile
